Sad state. Been a member for 15+ years. Bring back the indoor pool. Just needs basic fix and its own system vs being connected to the outdoor pool. Many people especially seniors need the warm deep water and those with arthritis would benefit. This y closed it after pandemic even though many of us were against it and had no real reason. They are just using it as a storage space. Sad so 😢. It was one of the best things there. Bring it BACK!! No one in charge including the main Y ceos have a good reason though they said many people are upset by it Note: finding an indoor pool with gentle exercise and water aerobics would bring back a lot of people!

I had a really good experience taking my Zumba lift class on Thursday, 9am. The instructor was amazingly strong probably Brazilian and really challenged us to not quite on lift sets. I’m actually shocked to find how weak I am. The music she chose was incredible. Lots of samba, and the cool down work outs were bossa nova…the exact ambiance I was looking for since I can’t travel to Brazil at the moment. The class was full and it was enjoyable. The overall facility has a lot to offer but the location looks pretty old. Im used to being spoiled by other YMCAs where they hand out towels and coffee. More Zumba and classes are offered at this location out of the other Florida locations is my understanding. The other perk is that there is a sauna room in the women’s locker room.

We had a great experience with the YMCA Hollywood Preschool Aquatics Program. Unlike other swim programs we've participated in, the YMCA offered makeup classes for weather-related cancellations, which was greatly appreciated. The instructors were wonderful, especially Miss Cici. You can tell she has a true gift for working with children. She is kind, patient, and takes the time to make sure every child gets the attention they need to build confidence and progress through each lesson. I also really appreciated the curriculum. Each session built on the last, so you could clearly see the skills developing over time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'd definitely recommend the program to other families.

Paying 60/mo to go to a dirty gym. Cleaning staff is always there but still needs a periodic deep cleaning. Sometimes I'll put my phone on the ground under the equipment and then go to pick it up and there's hair or dirt on my phone and hands. All the mats are dirty and don't get cleaned. The barbells are crumbling away. Dust everywhere. Alcohol wipes only go so far! I've been coming here for years and now I'm starting to think I should go to Hallandale.

Great Gym, Shame About the "Social Club" Membership The equipment is solid and the facility is fine, but apparently, I missed the memo that this gym doubled as a private lounge. It’s truly impressive how some people managed to mistake a leg press for a bistro chair. If you’re looking to get a workout in, be prepared to compete with the local 'parliament'—a group of people who clearly believe the entire gym is their living room. They don’t just talk; they broadcast their entire life story at a volume that makes noise-canceling headphones feel like a suggestion. I’ve learned more about their weekend plans than I have about my own fitness goals. Five stars for the weights, zero stars for the main characters who think they’re at a coffee shop. If you want to actually train, bring earplugs or a lot of patience. If you want to join a loud, sweaty social club where the only thing getting 'repped' is gossip, you’ve found your mecca
